McMoose got some video of each of the boys the other day, so I thought I'd share.
This first one is of Luke. Every year, we troll the post-Halloween sales for cheap costumes to add to Luke's dress-up box, and one of the things we couldn't pass up this year was this airplane costume. Of course, Luke had to wear it out of the store. McMoose taught him how to hold the wings up and "fly," and Luke got such joy out of it. It was one of those moments that I wish I could re-live over and over...I guess a video is the next best thing! (Be warned, it's pretty dark and hard to see.)
This next one is of Weston laughing later that same evening. McMoose was on the other side of the camera, sticking his tongue out, which is apparently hilarious if you're 3 months old. He was actually laughing a lot more before we pulled the camera out, at which point, he got his trademark worried look, so it's a testament to McMoose's tongue-sticking-out abilities that Weston was laughing at all.

Mushroom, Mushroom
My plan is to post pictures by the end of the week, but we all know how my plans tend to go awry, so in the meantime, here are some videos instead.
Video 1: This is the link to the Badger Song, for those of you who are unfamiliar.
Video 2: This is the link to Luke's version of the badger song. Personally, my favorite is when he ducks down in the tub and says "Eek, a scary snake!," but he's so excited that you can't actually tell what he's saying.

Fifteen!
Luke is fifteen months old today. This time last year, he was busily falling off the bottom of the growth charts and McMoose and I were certain that we had ruined the baby forever. One year later, the same tiny baby has turned into a crazy, funny toddler who's big and tall and runs and talks and learns new things everyday, so I guess we didn't ruin him after all.
He is completely confident on his feet and spends his days running and climbing and dancing and just generally being in constant motion. He loves playing with the big kids at the playground and doesn't mind that he can't quite keep up with their games of tag or hide-and-seek just yet.
He's firmly entrenched in his routine and at precisely 10 am, he brings me his shoes, waits for me to put them on his feet, and then brings me my shoes. If I'm feeling particularly contrary and haven't taken the hint yet, he then points at the door and yells at me until I get the point.
He has also been talking a LOT recently--the last time I counted, he could say about 35 words, although you'd have to know him pretty well to understand many of those words--and is getting adept at making his intentions known. His favorites are "Yes," "No," "More," and "All done," but we also hear a lot about "Book," and "Arf!," and "Umm," which is his version of Meow. He can identify most barnyard animal noises and loves to read his farm book so he can show off his skills. Actually, he loves to read any book...or magazine...or catalog...or power bill.
I'll be posting pictures from the past three months next week, but in the meantime, this is what happens when you introduce a lime to a baby.
